My mom is a hair stylist, and she is suffering from a problem with hair INSIDE of her fingernails.?

Yes, you read that correctly. There is hair INSIDE of her fingernails, and it always gets stuck in there, nearly everyday. She just keeps using random sharp objects to remove it, and it is causing infections. She isn't really going anything about it.

Oh, and just for you people that don't have common sense, it is the hair form the customers that gets stuck inside of her fingernails. It isn't growing inside of there.

So, does another hair stylist have something to say about this, or...?My mom is a hair stylist, and she is suffering from a problem with hair INSIDE of her fingernails.?
She should be wearing gloves at work. That's what she should have been taught when taking classes to get her license.

Additional: I don't know if your added statement was aimed at me, but my reply wasn't a lecture. I was simply stating facts. She should have been taught to wear gloves before becoming a stylist to avoid this problem. She also should have been told while she was a stylist to wear gloves. So she either wasn't, which would be negligence on other people part, or she was but chose not to, which is negligence on her part. Either way, she should be wearing gloves.

Additional2: Then it is her fault she has the infections if she refuses to wear gloves, and on top of that she is infecting her clients by not wearing them. She is supposed to have learned how to hold her scissors while wearing gloves. You don't have to like this answer, but it's true.My mom is a hair stylist, and she is suffering from a problem with hair INSIDE of her fingernails.?
I've known and have been involved with people in many varied occupations, one of them being that of hairstylist. My answer might sound harsh to some although I'm simply stating facts. It isn't meant to offend.

Maybe she should try wearing some gloves, or cut her nails. You can't get hair under your nails if you don't have any space for them, do you?
Ask nicely, that way you will get nice answer, dont be sarcastic you dont have to say for people who dont have common sense.
If she's having a problem with her client's hair getting stuck under her fingernails, suggest that she try wearing latex gloves while she cuts peoples' hair so she can keep herself from getting them stuck, and infections from pulling them out.
Dont know if she has long or short nails, but it seems if they were cut short, she may not have this problem. Long nails harbor lots of bacteria....and other people's hair being in there probably isn't good either.
