You can do separate courses to get certificates in hairdressing. They do cost a bit, but are worth it.


You just ring up and see when they're starting their courses.





Or you can look for getting a hairdressing apprenticeship. You don't have to go to school (as in college). You work at the salon and every now and then you'll go to a beauty college. And because your at the salon and if you've completly finished, you don't have to look around for a hair salon to apply for job. Cause your already there.

i went to a 2 year college and received a degree in applied science and certificate in cosmetology... you can just go to beauty school but you wont have as much experience when you go to get a job (since beauty schools are only about 10 months long) its worth the wait... believe me!! you dont have to do anything in high school but you might want to check it out now seeing as there can be up to a 2 year wait to get in depending on where you go. to get in you must be at least 16 and have a ged or hs diploma
